This Maro circular route walks up to a stone arch, an abandoned quarry and an old cortijo ruin. The walk is 9.71km long and takes approximately 3 hours to complete.
The walk starts with a short walk along the N-340. We then turn off and make our way to an old eerie quarry where abandoned machinery/vehicles still remain. The footpaths are quite stony so care needs to be taken. We then follow the Barranco de los Colmenarejos up and towards a natural stone arch. Here we will take a path up and out of the barranco (this is a fair climb out) and towards an old cortijo ruin where we will have a lunch stop whilst admiring the views of the Miel Valley.
